Snow should melt during the day

I absolutely adore the look of a snow biome, however on bedrock the snow piles up so high it basically ruins terrain and engulfs builds. So my idea is have snow layers build up over night or during snow storms but then during days the snow will melt down to a single layer again making it much easier fo build in snowy biomes
