Unbreakable Netherite

Having Netherite simply be completely unbreakable would make it both incredibly valuable to obtain, and remove a lot of late-game grinding.

If you have Netherite, you probably have an XP farm and at least some mending books lying about. This simply cuts out the need to spend 20 minutes killing zombies. If you don't have mending, you have to get entire Netherite Ingots to repair your tools & armor, and crafting a new one isn't really an option when your main stuff has enchantments. Getting Netherite Ingots is infamously, a major time sink. You don't want to do it more than what is needed for the sets.

Unbreaking and Mending would still get use for other things that don't have Netherite options, making them still quite useful, or just in general for any point in the game until full Netherite is obtained.

    I would propose instead that netherite tools "break" the same way the elytra does: by becoming unusable pending repair.
