Hi everyone, right now high-level PvP is heavily dominated by End Crystal placement. Traditional weapons like swords, axes, bows, and crossbows feel obsolete because players are blown up before they can even close the distance or hold a combo.
The main issue is the gap in skill versus reward. Mastering a sword combo, landing perfect axe crits, or hitting bow shots takes a lot of practice with spacing, aim, and timing. Yet, traditional weapons sit at the bottom of the tier list because crystals can be placed so rapidly that mindless spam easily overrides genuine weapon skill. Swords and axes already deal great damage, but they never get to shine. I don't want crystals removed, but we need a fair meta.
A great fix is adding a tiny placement cooldown to crystals so they cannot be instantly spammed. We could also introduce diminishing returns, where consecutive crystal explosions deal less damage to players if triggered back-to-back. This keeps crystals effective for tactical traps, but stops them from being an unstoppable primary weapon.
By balancing explosive spam, every style naturally falls into place. Swords and axes will finally be viable in close-quarters combat where skill determines the victor. Bows can hold lines of sight, while the mace, spear, and trident will serve as great tools for high-ground or spacing rather than completely taking over the game. Let me know what you think!
