On the main menu, add a mod button. Once clicked it will show a mod list, all mods are free and it will either show mojang's mod list or 3rd party mods. You can turn on shaders by downloading shaders from the mod list which is fine if its called addons because its not JUST mods. Worlds also come along with the addons list along with donation buttons. No in-game currency and downloading/turning off mods is a simple fast restart, the actual data of your login is temporarily saved so that its NOT a full minecraft restart. Give an option for when joining a server/world to download the required mods with a quick restart that'll automatically put you in the server once done. You can use forge or fabric, but a new mod loader would be fine for more compatibility so that there is one for everything and because we fixed the server and world issue, it shouldn't matter. Add more mod compatibility between minecraft versions, and make it easier to make mods with either a template or an in-game feature. Allow custom minecraft versions too, that'd be epic. If a server is modded, at the bottom or next to the ping icon, add a tag that says "Mods". Also when joining a world, it should be able to detect if your joining with the same mods enabled when it was created, if not it will warn you and asking if you should continue or enable the right mods. Mods are saved through accounts not instances, so once you boot up the game it should make sure all the mods are compatible with the current version.
