Hello there! After a few hours of testing out this build on my Switch 2 I have 2 suggestions regarding changes and additions that I think should be made ahead of the upcoming full launch of the game at the end of October. I’ll list each one alongside some details of the potential benefits of implementing it. I also have a bug report which I’ll include at the end.
- DLSS support in vibrant visuals: currently vibrant visuals on Switch 2 only supports upscaling through either TAAU or Bilinear scaling, both of which are significantly more limited than the DLSS upscaler that is built directly into the Switch 2s hardware. I would love to see this be implemented as it would allow for significantly better better upscaling quality and higher performance gains from enabling it.
- JoyCon2 Mouse Controls: The mouse controls that are built into the Joycon 2s would be an amazing fit for Minecraft, being a game that originated on PC and already has mouse and keyboard support within the bedrock engine. This would be a great way to integrate the PC style experience of Minecraft into this version.
- Bug (Skin design not carrying over properly from the Switch 1 version): While my custom skin from the Switch 1 version of the game did carry over, the eyes appear to be placed lower on my skins head than they should be, with one being a slightly different size than the other. I would appreciate if this could be looked into as well.
