Make arrow damage properly scale with velocity in Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Suggestion:
I suggest making arrow damage in Minecraft Bedrock Edition more consistent with projectile velocity. Currently, arrows can move at extremely high speeds in some situations, but the extra momentum does not always translate into increased impact damage.
In real projectile physics, speed is an important factor in impact force. Minecraft already has many systems where movement and momentum matter, so making arrows respond to velocity would make projectile mechanics feel more realistic and consistent.
Why this would improve Minecraft:
- Makes projectile mechanics more predictable.
- Creates more interesting technical builds and redstone inventions.
- Improves parity with expected projectile behavior.
- Rewards creativity with advanced builds and mechanics.
Possible implementation:
Arrow damage could increase based on the arrow's current velocity when it hits a target, with limits to prevent unfair or extreme damage.
This would add more depth to Minecraft's combat and technical gameplay while keeping normal bow gameplay unchanged.
