I suggest adding a dynamic weight system to Survival Mode.
Players could continue eating even when their hunger bar is full. Instead of simply stopping the player from eating, extra food would increase a separate Weight/Fat stat. The more food the player eats over time, the more their character's body would gradually change.
The body could become larger in the belly, arms, legs, face and cheeks. These changes would happen progressively, rather than instantly. Weight could also affect movement, jumping and stamina.
The system could include a Weight bar, a Fat bar and a Cuteness bar. Cuteness would increase as the character becomes heavier, creating a playful visual progression.
The important part is that hunger and weight would be separate systems. A full hunger bar would mean the player is satisfied, but it would not prevent them from eating. Weight could continue increasing without a small fixed maximum.
This would make food have a more interesting long-term effect while keeping Minecraft's blocky and playful style.
