After updating Minecraft Bedrock on iPhone to 26.50, I had severe UI problems. My avatar was invisible, the Play and Settings menus were invisible, and the in-game HUD was missing. I could sometimes still tap invisible buttons.
Deleting and reinstalling Minecraft restored most of the UI and my avatar, but the Settings and Play menus still displayed white abstract shapes instead of readable text. Other text, including the title screen, Marketplace, and world-loading screen, was normal.
I found a fix:
1. Open the iPhone Files app.
2. Go to On My iPhone → Minecraft → games → com.mojang → minecraftpe.
3. Find Options (options.txt.)
4. Move it outside the Minecraft folders, such as directly into On My iPhone.
5. Completely close Minecraft and reopen it.
Minecraft regenerated options.txt, and the Settings and Play menu text immediately became readable again.
If you’re experiencing invisible UI or white shapes instead of text after 26.50, try moving options.txt before reinstalling the game. This may save your local worlds and a lot of frustration.
