The "Pack" (short for Addon Pack) is a new performance and optimization system for Minecraft Bedrock that allows players to bundle up to 50 addons—including official Marketplace purchases, community files, shaders, and heavy animation overhauls—into a single container. [🗂️][⚡]
Instead of forcing the engine to load dozens of separate file directories, the game treats the compiled Pack as one single, giant addon. This bypasses performance bottlenecks, giving players massive modpacks with zero loading screen lag and maximum framerates.
* Pack Creator: A menu where players name their Pack and select up to 50 files from their library. An optional "Auto-Bundle" toggle lets the game automatically optimize active world addons behind the scenes.
* Unified Engine Processing: When compiled, the game reads the bundle as a singular asset roadmap. Memory is allocated only once at startup, and scripts run through a single processing queue instead of fighting multiple overlapping loops.
* Multiplayer & Realms: To protect creators from asset theft, raw Pack files cannot be sent directly to friends. However, you can freely apply your Pack to single-player worlds, Realms, or servers you own. Joining players automatically sync with a secure manifest list, downloading missing files and auto-bundling the identical Pack locally on their own devices.
