Minecraft has been around for more than 15 years, but vanilla multiplayer still has no proper way to protect a player’s base and personal space.
I suggest adding a **Base Core**, inspired by Rust’s Tool Cupboard (TC).
The Base Core would create a protected area where the owner can:
* Prevent unauthorized building and breaking
* Protect chests and other containers
* Control who can enter and interact with the base
* Add or remove trusted players
It could also allow players to **lock doors** and protect private rooms.
However, bases should NOT be completely unraidable. On PvP servers, players should still be able to raid bases using **TNT, explosives, or other expensive raiding mechanics**. The Core should mainly prevent random griefing and unauthorized access.
Servers should be able to configure or disable the system.
Minecraft is about building, but players should also have the ability to protect what they build.
**Give players the freedom to build—and the freedom to protect what they build.**
