I suggest adding a warm Dappled Forest biome with Poplar trees and Dappled Berries.
Dappled Berries would be an item similar to Glow Berries, but with deep orange and red colors. They would rarely drop when Poplar Leaves are broken. At night, dropped berries would release special glowing particles representing a strong scent. Nearby peaceful mobs such as pigs, cows, sheep, chickens and frogs would be attracted to the berries and walk or run toward them.
A new passive mob, the Summer Chameleon, could spawn on hot, bright days in this forest. It would camouflage itself among the trees. Players could tame it with Dappled Berries. A tamed Chameleon could sit on the player's shoulder, change colors with its surroundings, and attack Silverfish, Endermites and Bees.
The biome could also contain a dangerous Earth Monster that emerges from the soil at night. It would hide underground with a dirt-covered head and attack players.
Dappled Berries could be used to brew a Scent Masking Potion. While the effect lasts, the Earth Monster would lose interest in the player, become neutral and walk away.
This would make the Dappled Forest feel like a unique ecosystem with useful items, wildlife and nighttime danger.
