Idea: Community Build Events + Permanent World Export
Minecraft could introduce large-scale community building events where hundreds or thousands of players work together on the same world.
For example, players could participate in a “Build a City” event and build roads, houses, skyscrapers, parks, public buildings and transportation systems together.
When the event ends, players should be able to keep the completed world as an ordinary Minecraft world and play it offline.
The event could include:
- Large build areas instead of small build limits
- Team-based building
- Community voting
- Building competitions
- Roads, vehicles and city-building mechanics
- New decorative and construction blocks
- World export after the event
- Offline access after the event ends
The important part is that players should not lose access to the world when the event ends. If players spent hours building something together, they should be able to keep and explore it afterward.
This could create huge community-built cities while still keeping Minecraft's core sandbox identity.
