Palm Trees, Coconuts and Wet Sand
I think Minecraft's beaches could be much more interesting and natural with palm trees, coconuts, and wet sand.
π΄ Palm Trees
Palm trees could naturally generate on beaches, especially near warm ocean biomes. They could have tall, slightly curved trunks and leaves at the top, giving beaches a more tropical appearance.
π₯₯ Coconuts
Coconuts would naturally grow on palm trees.
Players could:
- Harvest coconuts directly from palm trees.
- Find fallen coconuts on the beach.
- Plant coconuts to grow new palm trees.
- Eat the coconut to restore some hunger.
Coconuts could also have a second use after being harvested, such as producing coconut milk or coconut water.
ποΈ Wet Sand
Sand directly next to water could become a darker wet sand variant.
Wet sand could:
- Naturally generate along shorelines.
- Have a darker texture than normal sand.
- Gradually turn back into normal sand when it is no longer near water.
π More Natural Beaches
Together, these features would make Minecraft's beaches feel much more alive. Instead of having a simple transition from ocean β sand β land, beaches could have palm trees, fallen coconuts, wet sand and more natural-looking shorelines.
These additions would also make exploring tropical beaches more rewarding without changing Minecraft's simple gameplay style.
