The Powder & Iron Update

Hello Minecraft Team,

I have an idea for a new update called The Powder & Iron Update.

I think Minecraft should add:

  • Muskets, flintlock pistols, and blunderbusses. They could be crafted using wooden frames, lock mechanisms made with iron nuggets and gunpowder, and gold. Each weapon could have different damage and reload times.
  • Cannons. They could use 6 iron blocks for the barrel, 4 iron nuggets for wheels, and 4 iron ingots for cannonballs. Cannons could be loaded with a cannonball and gunpowder, then fired using flint and steel.
  • New Pillager camps with Pillagers carrying muskets.
  • Cannons in Pillager Outposts and Woodland Mansions.
  • Mortars in Woodland Mansions. Mortars would be powerful long-range weapons that cannot be crafted and can only be found in Woodland Mansions.

I think these features would make exploring, combat, castles, forts, and ships much more interesting while adding a new historical theme to Minecraft.
