Hi!
I really miss the effect of weather and different climates from the game. In most survival games, weather is a huge part, but in minecraft, it has almost no impact.
- Add temperature to the game. A very simple HUD emperature bar, similar to bubbles when underwater. Different temperature for biomes obviously. Temperature could also be a property of different dimensions (for example, the nether is very hot and the end is freezing). This would add additional challenge and gear requirements, maybe more clothing options, or temperature related armor properties. A dedicated use for leather armor, maybe a new enchantment, etc. Lots of options here.
- Add wind to the game. Maybe impact flight (ghast, elytra) and player movement if very strong, adds additional challenge during exploration, option for cool particle effects, etc. Maybe restrict it to certain biomes or rare events.
- Add more weather states (clear, rain, rain+sun, cloudy, windy, fog, storm, blizzard, heat wave, etc.). These affect temperature, mob spawning, maybe mob behavior. Some rare celestial events could also be cool, like a "swarm moon" or "crimson moon" or whatever when lots of mobs spawn, or mobs are more agressive or stronger, spawn with stronger gear, etc. Lots of options here.
- Add seasons to the game. Similar to overword day/night cycle, for example: each season is around 20-30 days or so. This affects weather and temperature. Some biomes have less seasons.
Lots of these could be optional gamerules of course.
Thanks :)
