Goal: When travelling, instead of constantly worrying about inventory space, you could send the items you collect directly back to your base.
How: Throw a new End Egg at an item. The egg breaks, and the item is teleported to the mob that dropped the egg.
When unlocked: The mob dropping End Eggs would be found in the Nether. It should be difficult to farm. At first, this would mainly be a convenience for long-distance exploration.
Theme: The End, since teleportation is strongly associated with it. It also fits the Nether as another introduction to End-related mechanics, after the Enderman.
Why it is innovative : It's a Minecraft-way of not adding the backpack. And unlike most mob farms, where mobs are produced and killed in large numbers, this mechanic gives you a reason to keep a mob alive. You would need to protect and maintain your mob to keep using its eggs.
Limits: End Eggs could be non-stackable, have a cooldown, teleport only a limited number of items, require a valuable item to obtain, or the mob could have a limited number of eggs it can produce over time. The mob could also be unable to reproduce, forcing you to transport it to your base, or hard to keep alive.
The goal is simple: make long journeys less frustrating without making inventory management irrelevant.
