Hi,
As a kid, I grew up playing Minecraft, and that was one of the games I played most back then. Recently, I gave Terraria a try as Minecraft had once suggested, and after never playing not once in my life, I was astonished at how fun the game was. Now, coming back to Minecraft, I realize they are similar in a lot of ways. But there’s one thing from Terraria that doesn’t exist in Minecraft that I keep yearning for: an option for a throwable light source. And that brings me to my idea for a new item to be added to Minecraft…
THE FLAMING ARROW!!!!
My idea is the Flaming Arrow. Once crafted, it can be shot from specifically the crossbow, as these bows are going to be larger than our regular arrows. The Flaming Arrow is crafted from an arrow and a flame charge. Once shot, the arrow will burn temporarily, then go out. To craft a Flaming Arrow that lasts longer, simply add a slime ball to the recipe, and the “torch” effect will last longer. I also think this would be a perfect way to incorporate the fletching table; this would be required to make a Flaming Arrow. You could even take it further and add a set of different “Larger” arrows, and this could also be a reason to bring back the quiver. Earlier this year, we got the zombie horse; why not the quiver too? My idea not only adds a new element to the game that assists in traversal, gives a use to a currently useless block, and gives meaning to a forgotten relic of Minecraft’s history. This idea needs work so would love input.
