Pearlescent Axolotl Scales & Iridescent Blocks

​As a dedicated Minecraft builder who loves axolotls and magical builds, our palette is currently missing soft pastel colors and atmospheric lighting. Most building materials are heavy, dark, or gritty, and decorative light sources don't offer whimsical particle effects. ​I propose giving axolotls a renewable drop that unlocks an ethereal, mother-of-pearl building set: ​• Renewable Drop: When fed or bred, axolotls occasionally shed "Pearlescent Shards" (like armadillo scutes or chickens with eggs). It’s completely peaceful and gives players a real reason to build axolotl sanctuaries. ​• Iridescent Block Set: 4 shards craft a soft, pastel iridescent block with subtle color shifts. Stonecutters can craft them into slabs, stairs, pillars, and chiseled designs—perfect for underwater shrines, fairy fountains, and fantasy palaces. ​• Shimmer Lantern: Crafting shards with Glow Ink Sacs creates a pearly light block (light level 15) with delicate pastel sparkle particles floating off it, giving builds an enchanting, mystical vibe. ​This loop gives axolotls long-term love, adds a fresh use for glow ink, and provides fantasy builders with the delicate pastel textures and magical particles the game needs!
