increasing the number of crafting stages

I propose increasing the number of stairs you can craft to eight.
Currently in Minecraft, crafting stairs requires 6 blocks, from which we get 4 stairs.
What is a stair? Essentially, it is just a block with a quarter cut out of it.
Since 6 blocks are used in the recipe, the player should theoretically be left with 6 stairs and 6 block-quarters that could also be used for stairs. Given that a stair consists of 3 quarters of a block, and we have 6 stairs after the initial craft, the player could obtain 2 additional stairs—resulting in a total of 8 stairs.
Therefore, I believe the stair crafting recipe should be updated to yield more stairs.
