Minecraft Bedrock Edition Offhand Feature

So in Minecraft Java edition, you can put anything in your offhand and use it, but in Minecraft Bedrock edition the items that you can put in your offhand is limited and there are some problems like only being able to use your shield by crouching which makes your movement slower. My idea is that in Xbox and PlayStation, we can use the “Crafting button” to use our offhand since you can already do crafting when you press the “Inventory button”. For example while press and holding the old “crafting button” we can press the “Use Button” (L2 on PlayStation, LT on Xbox) to use the item in our offhand and press the “Attack Button” ( R2 on PlayStation, RT on Xbox) to attack, break and other stuff we normally use the attack button for with our offhand. Please consider my idea.
