Superheated magma

A block crafted with 9 magma blocks, superheated magma deals 4 points of damage per second to players standing on it (twice that of regular magma). Crouching will not protect you from the damage, but equipping frost walker boots will.
Placing superheated magma next to lava causes it to melt into a lava source block, allowing for stackable lava.
