Please add the Java Edition fishing rod behavior to bedrock that allows fishing rods to be used as a wireless redstone remote control through unloaded chunks.
The mechanic works like this:
1. Cast a fishing rod and place the bobber on a pressure plate.
2. Leave the area so the chunk containing the bobber becomes unloaded, such as by entering a Nether portal.
3. The fishing bobber remains in that unloaded chunk instead of being immediately removed.
4. From another location, use the same fishing rod again.
5. The bobber disappears/retracts, causing the pressure plate to become unpressed.
6. The pressure plate's redstone signal changes, allowing it to trigger a redstone machine.
This effectively allows a fishing rod to function as a wireless redstone remote control.
Why add it to Bedrock?
This is a useful technical-building mechanic that enables wireless communication between locations without commands, add-ons, or complicated redstone wiring.
It could be used for:
- Remote redstone machines
- Wireless doors
- Remote switches
- Transportation systems
- Technical contraptions
- Long-distance redstone communication
Please add the behavior to Bedrock Edition while maintaining normal fishing-rod functionality and Java Edition parity.
The key part is that the bobber should persist when its chunk is unloaded and should be removed when the fishing rod is used again, allowing the pressure plate's state change to act as the wireless redstone signal.
