I am experiencing severe FPS drops and noticeable stuttering while playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition on a PS5 Slim with Vibrant Visuals enabled.
The problem occurs even when all available Vibrant Visuals graphics settings are set to their lowest possible values and performance is prioritized. Despite using the lowest settings, the game still does not feel consistently smooth.
The FPS drops are particularly noticeable when:
Looking at or moving near water
Moving quickly through the world
Entering areas with many blocks, entities, or structures
Exploring new areas while the world is loading
Turning the camera quickly
I have already tried lowering the graphics settings as much as possible, reducing the render distance, and prioritizing performance, but the stuttering and FPS drops continue.
This is especially disappointing because the PS5 Slim should have more than enough hardware performance to run Minecraft Bedrock smoothly. The issue seems to be related to the optimization of Vibrant Visuals on PlayStation rather than the console hardware itself.
I would appreciate it if Mojang could investigate and improve the optimization of Vibrant Visuals on PS5/PS5 Slim, especially its shadows, reflections, water rendering, and other graphical effects.
I hope future updates can provide a much more stable and consistent frame rate while keeping Vibrant Visuals enabled.
Thank you for looking into this issue.
