In light of the fact that code obfuscation has been removed from Minecraft: Java Edition, I'd like to suggest establishing a way for people to submit pull requests. This would allow for people to make contributions to the base game while still ensuring that everything is managed by Mojang.
With the correct licensing, pull requests can significantly improve Minecraft: Java Edition. For example, there are a lot of bugs which remain unpatched to this day. If people were allowed to submit pull requests, this would speed up bug fixes greatly.
Players would also be able to share their ideas without having to rely solely on a feedback website or social media. This can be very helpful for big updates, as there are plenty of developers who are capable of coming up with very creative ideas. Pull requests can speed up the development process too.
