Hello Minecraft team and community! I would love to suggest a new biome that brings the beauty of South American pine forests to the game: the Araucaria Biome. Here is how the features would work: The Araucaria Tree: A tall, straight tree with a unique umbrella-shaped canopy. It would be the only tree in the game that spreads naturally! Grown trees produce "Pinecones" on their leaves. When a pinecone falls to the ground and isn't collected, it automatically turns into a sapling after a short time, slowly expanding the forest over time (similar to mangrove propagules). If players want to stop this, they could craft the pinecone with a charcoal/coal to make a decorative, sterile version that doesn't drop spreading seeds. The Paca Mob: Since birds shouldn't be huntable/killable according to Mojang's design philosophy, the rodent Paca would be the perfect fit for this biome. Pacas would not drop meat or XP (to protect wildlife in-game). Utility and Taming: You can tame and breed pacas using pinecones. Once tamed, you can feed them wheat to help you dig up items from the forest floor, ranging from extra pinecones to rare treasures like diamonds! This biome would add amazing atmosphere, deep ecology mechanics, and a peaceful new animal companion. I hope you consider adding it!
