Currently, Bedrock Resource Packs can be enabled globally across all sessions, but Behavior Packs (scripts, custom logic, and UI modifications) can only be applied on a per-world basis. Adding a Global Behavior Packs menu alongside Global Resources would transform the experience for players and creators alike.
Why Global Behavior Packs are Needed:
Client-Side Quality of Life: Allows diagnostic tools, custom HUD Overlays, and utility scripts to run automatically across single-player worlds and testing sessions without needing cheat-enabled worlds or manual installation.
Developer Efficiency: Creators testing Script API logic or custom UI setups wouldn't need to manually attach behavior folders every time a new testing world is created.
A Moderated Pipeline for Console Creators:
To address console sandboxing restrictions (Xbox/PlayStation) while protecting system security, Mojang could partner with a trusted curation platform like Overwolf/CurseForge to create an automated, verified moderation pipeline.
Creators submit custom Bedrock .mcaddon or .mcpack files to a secure review platform.
An automated security scan verifies the JSON, textures, and scripts for safety, performance, and stability.
Verified packs are exposed in a free, trusted community tab accessible across PC, Mobile, and Consoles.
This system maintains security while granting console players access to safe, community-driven content alongside the official Marketplace.
