What: I suggest expanding the uses of diamonds beyond tools and armor.
Why: In current gameplay, iron, emeralds, and lapis lazuli are consumed quickly through trading, crafting, and enchanting — but diamonds are rarely used up. Once a player crafts their diamond gear, surplus diamonds sit unused in chests. Giving diamonds more meaningful sinks would make mining them consistently rewarding.
How: Introduce new diamond-based recipes, such as:
A Diamond Reinforcement mechanic that can be applied to tools/armor to boost durability or add special enchantment slots
Decorative diamond blocks variants (e.g., diamond tile, diamond lattice) for building
A Diamond Capacitor item for redstone contraptions that stores or amplifies signal strength
Diamond-cost recipes for high-tier consumables (e.g., extreme strength potions)
This would give diamonds a clear late-game purpose and keep mining meaningful throughout a playthrough.
Thank you!
