I love what was done with leather armor being able to protect from freezing from powdered snow, so why not some changes to the other armors
Chainmail can provide extra protection against melee attacks and anything up close, but isn’t that effective against stuff like arrows
Copper would oxidize overtime, is just a visual change but each piece of copper armor increases the chance of getting struck by lightning which if that were to happen the durability would be immediately restored
Gold will add on slowness depending on how much is being worn as it’s known for being pretty heavy
Iron is strong but it gets hot easily and fast meaning if you are near any lava pools,in the nether or near fire you will start taking damage similar to how you would from magma blocks
Diamond is a hard one but i think u have it, it, it provides good protection but i think i got it , it provides a lot of protection however it takes double durability from anything going fast or anything hitting hard (crossbows, hits from an enchanted tool, and explosions just break it but still keep the player safe
Netherritre is mostly the same except anvils don’t immediately destroy helmets and a passive fire resistance effect when on fire or in lava but at the cost of passive durability draining as long as you are in lava or on fire
