Leaf litter limited collection idea

Like so many items, leaf litter clogs up your inventory so frequently when you don't want it. When I'm excavating an area or just left click anywhere it gets into my inventory. I don't think most players are looking to collect leaf litter when breaking the grass block it sits on top of. Similar to other blocks, if leaf littler could only be collected with shears, a shovel or by breaking it directly that would be an amazing quality of life improvement.
