A new emerald system minecraft

I think emeralds could have two different purposes in Minecraft: trading and crafting armor. Emerald Ore Emerald ore should keep its current rarity and generation. It should continue to generate mainly in mountain biomes and remain extremely rare, with a maximum of around 1–2 emerald ore blocks in a small area. When an emerald ore block is mined, it should drop Raw Emerald. Two Types of Emerald Raw Emerald could be processed into two different types: 1. Armor Emerald Armor Emerald would be used to craft Emerald armor and possibly other Emerald equipment. Emerald armor should be stronger than Iron armor, but not stronger than Diamond armor. Armor Emerald would not be usable for trading with villagers. 2. Trading Emerald Trading Emerald would be used only for trading with villagers. It could not be used to craft Emerald armor or other Emerald equipment. When one Raw Emerald is processed into Trading Emeralds, it would produce 3 Trading Emeralds. This would create a clear separation between Emeralds used for equipment and Emeralds used for trading, while keeping emerald ore rare and valuable.

  This would create a clear separation between Emeralds used for equipment and Emeralds used for trading, while keeping emerald ore rare and valuable.
