Hello Mojang Team,
Minecraft lacks environmental immersion when entities hit the ground. When mobs fall from heights, no physical block or dust particles generate upon landing. Only specific entities like Slimes, Magma Cubes, or sprinting players generate ground particles.
Adding a universal landing particle system would greatly improve the game:
1. Realism & Immersion: Large mobs (like Iron Golems, Ravagers, or Sniffers) falling to the ground should visually impact the environment by kicking up dust particles matching the block underneath them.
2. Parity & Optimization: Implementing this as a standard engine feature across Java and Bedrock ensures visual parity while allowing developers to optimize particle rendering for low-end mobile hardware.
3. Creator Freedom: Exposing an 'on_ground_impact' event listener in Bedrock JSON files and Java NBT tags would allow creators to trigger custom particles, sounds, or animations when a mob lands.
Please consider reviewing entity physics to include ground impact particles, or give creators the data hooks to implement it themselves. Thank you for your continuous work!
