hello, me and my brother love playing minecraft on a server we created, especially with vanilla + mods to make things a little more interesting.
it is no secret that the community has been talking about the lack of player progression after maxing out your gear, and the lack on incentives to explore the wonderful world. there are plenty of ideas on the internet on what could be added to make people explore more, but those tend to make the base game harder for casual players, or outright change the game.
i know this wont be added, but i would love to share this idea with anyone reading this.
i propose that the world gen with have the normal terrain gen and mobs in a large block radius. surrounding this large block radius would be a fairly large ocean, and afterwards would be the farlands.
the farlands would include much harder mobs and structures that would give more experienced or stacked players a challenge, and more loot and items to progress.
casual players wont be affected by any of these changes because all of this is taking place far from where they are playing.
this change will also not harm the vanilla progression of going to the nether and beating the ender dragon.
however nothing is stopping noob players from traveling the long distance to get to this outer land.
it would add another reason to travel far from spawn. find new harder mobs, more loot, and more interesting structures.
sadly i have reached my word count. i hope this interests anyone reading this.
