Black Ice is the most slippery ice in the game with a slipperiness of 1.2. If you jump on Black Ice one time, it and the surrounding blocks break halfway. If you jump on Black Ice 2-4 times it shatters completely beneath your feet. Underneath the ice is ink black water that causes a freezing effect 1.5x faster than powder snow, a slowness effect, and the confusion effect. The confusion effect blurs your screen, and putting Black Ice in a brewing stand gives you the Potion of Confusion.
Black Sand can be smelted in a blast furnace, making One-sided Glass. Placing Black Sand above a Stalactite underneath a cauldron causes Ink to drip into the cauldron, which can be interacted with a feather and used to get different fonts on books.
