Cold Feet

A craftable debuff potion brewed using packed or blue ice. When this debuff is applied to an entity, it reduces the friction of the entity just like on ice. This wouldn't work on blocks that hinder entities.

This debuff would offer a unique element to the game by create new trap opportunities, PvP unpredictability, and would create easier means of travels, making the grueling construction of ice highways obsolete.
