Revert Change to Chains or Add Alternative

    Chain, as a block without a full collision box, allows comparators to detect containers—a feature that serves as the cornerstone of all high-speed packing machines, certain shulker box displays, and shulker box sorters in Bedrock Edition. If the developers blindly mimic Java Edition by removing Bedrock-exclusive properties while failing to incorporate Java-exclusive features like TNT duping, QC activation, and 0-tick pistons, the only outcome will be that players completely lose hope in Bedrock Edition and all flock to Java Edition.

    Mojang always have silly reasons, like

    "These features can be alternate by other existing blocks!";

    "Despite the fix, new machines will be better!";

    "Players are excited to see a more logical gameplay!";

    ...

    However, sadly, NONE of the statements is true.

    Don't make these changes! You'll wreck most of the technical redstone community in Minecraft. Revert the adjustments immediately!😱😱😱😭😭😭

    For a long time, Mojang seems to have never listened to the opinions of Bedrock players.Indeed, this is the case; they always try to make this version resemble Java more closely.However, it overlooks the feelings of Bedrock players, always wanting to remove features unique to the Bedrock version. If that's the case, why not add Java features, such as TNT duplication? If they are still determined to go their own way, why don't we just play the Java version?Therefore, this revision is clearly not a wise choice, which is why we initiated this vote. We sincerely hope that Mojang will take the community's opinions into account.

    For years, Bedrock builders adapted and innovated using limited tools. The chain’s unique non-solid collision box was the cornerstone of Bedrock technical Minecraft.

    Now, in a profoundly shortsighted decision, Mojang has stripped this functionality in the latest preview. By treating the chain as a full solid block, they have dismantled entire categories of redstone builds. Previously, the chain’s non-solid collision allowed packed shulker boxes to drop directly into water streams below, enabling unprecedented vertical compression. Now, this packing machine will lose all of its functionality. Elegant, space-saving machines are instantly reduced to unworkable relics. This is the active erasure of player ingenuity.

    Stripping away this irreplaceable component willfully blindfolds Bedrock builders, forcing them into bloated, inefficient designs. This change follows a series of updates deliberately hostile to technical players. Mojang claims to want parity with Java, but true parity doesn't mean forcing Bedrock into a watered-down version of Java while stripping away its own brilliant innovations. It feels like an active campaign to make Bedrock an inhospitable wasteland for technical players.

    We demand Mojang reconsider this disastrous decision immediately. Restore the chain’s non-solid collision property. Stop sabotaging the tools Bedrock technical players rely on. Don’t break the chain.

    Mojang’s Betrayal of Bedrock Redstone

    Java Edition has massive advantages over Bedrock, including exclusive mechanics like TNT duplication. Yet, instead of elevating Bedrock, Mojang continuously suppresses its technical players. The latest preview strips the chain’s non-solid collision box. Previously, this allowed packed shulker boxes to drop directly into water streams, enabling extreme vertical compression. Now, this packing machine will lose all of its functionality.

    This is the active erasure of player ingenuity. True parity shouldn't mean forcing Bedrock into a watered-down version of Java while stripping away its own brilliant innovations. If you stubbornly proceed with removing this mechanic, it will cause a massive exodus of Bedrock technical players and completely stifle our creativity. This directly violates Minecraft’s core philosophy of free creation. We demand Mojang immediately restore the chain’s non-solid collision property. Stop sabotaging the tools we rely on. Don’t break the chain.

    If Mojang finally locks in this modification without any buffer or compromise, technical players across the whole Bedrock community will feel extremely frustrated and angry. Most importantly, this change will severely erode players’ trust in your team. This chain comparator quirk has existed for many years and evolved into a core foundational feature for nearly all large-scale item sorting systems in Bedrock Edition. We have spent hundreds of hours building our redstone contraptions entirely based on this long-standing rule.

    Once you arbitrarily remove this mechanic after so many years, every player will constantly worry that any gameplay trick or mechanic we explore and rely on could be deleted abruptly someday. This widespread anxiety will seriously restrain our willingness to create new redstone builds and kill the creative spirit that makes Minecraft special. Please reconsider this harsh one-size-fits-all fix, offer a grace period or experimental toggle as alternatives instead.

    If this mechanism is changed. Then, the Minecraft Bedrock Edition community will lose a lot of machines. Changing him is not a wise choice. This mechanism has also been in place for many years. So plz don't change it

    I'm not willing to make the chain modified, because the original mechanism is very good.

    Please revert the comparator reading at a minimum. There is no other block that completes this function of a non-full block that is conductive.

    Este cambio afecta a muchos mecanismos de los mundos de los jugadores, además nos perjudican con nuestras construcciones y sistemas de almacenamiento de ítems , lo cual está matando de cierta forma la jugabilidad de los jugadores y destruyen proyectos que los usuarios planean hacer
