Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

eye of the storm

the eye of the storm can only be found in berried treasure and can be crafted into a beacon like block that can put a barrier around where it is placed that will prevent rain, thunderstorms, and any naturally generated water source blocks from crossing over, the more iron, emerald, diamond blocks that are placed around it the bigger the barrier will be. it can also be crafted into an enchantment book for a helmet, i would call this enchantment eye of the storm. if your helmet had this enchantment you could walk around in a storm and have clear skies above you while outside of the 4 block barrier around you is rain and clouds and lightning.

this enchantment would help during storms because if mobs start spawning everywhere around you you can stop them from just coming right up to you because they will start to burn.

    but i do see your comment, i think that this idea is a cool one but now that i think about it adding a whole new mob in for this item wouldn't be necessary, maybe the eye of the storm could be found in shipwrecks
