We propose making armor durability and protection values react dynamically to biome ambient temperatures to mirror real-world physics.
TEMPERATURE MECHANICS:
- Hot Climates (Desert/Nether): Chainmail chestplates gain malleable "Sharpness Resistance," forcing incoming Sword/Axe damage down to wood-tool variables. Netherite gains a 25% durability preservation buffer because heat keeps the alloy flexible.
- Cold Climates (Snowy Plains/Peaks): Hyper-dense Netherite alloy contracts and freezes, losing elasticity and degrading 2x faster under physical impact.
- Shaders & Audio: Brittle, frozen Netherite triggers a unique metallic cracking audio cue when taking damage, accompanied by frost fractures spreading across the player's armor HUD bar.
- The Iron Meta: Standard Iron remains completely temperature-neutral and performs identically in all climates for multi-biome travel utility.
- Thermal Insulation: Equipping a piece of Leather Armor (like Leather Boots) acts as an insulated layer, completely protecting adjacent iron plates from temperature-based degradation or fracturing.
