When opening a wooden chest in an abandoned camp, the map you find seems to be generated by selecting a random biome and then pointing to a camp located in that biome. This means the target camp can be extremely far away, even when there are other abandoned camps much closer in nearby biomes.
The current system prioritizes biome diversity over actual distance. As a result, players are forced to travel thousands of blocks to reach the marked camp, while passing by other perfectly valid camps along the way. This feels counterintuitive and makes exploration more tedious than rewarding.
Suggestion:
The map generation should be based on proximity, not random biome selection. When the chest is opened, the map should search for the nearest abandoned camp regardless of biome, and mark that one instead.
This would make exploration feel more natural and logical, encouraging players to explore outward gradually rather than being sent on unnecessarily long journeys for no strategic reason.
