Automatic Natural Tree Growth
I would like to suggest a new natural tree growth system for Minecraft.
In real life, trees produce seeds that grow into new trees without human intervention. Minecraft could have a similar mechanic to make forests feel more alive and dynamic.
My idea is that fully grown trees would occasionally produce a seed or sapling. If there is grass or dirt nearby with enough space and light, that seed could naturally grow into a new tree after some time.
To keep the game balanced:
- Trees should grow naturally only at a low rate.
- New trees should not grow too close to player-built structures.
- There should be a limit to how many trees can naturally grow in one area.
- The feature could be optional in the world settings.
This system would make forests feel alive, improve immersion, and also allow players to create fully automatic wood farms using redstone, while keeping them balanced because the natural growth would be slow.
Thank you for considering this idea!
