Stackable pebbles scattered around the world

Now that we have dry leaves and small flowers to compose the biomes, I feel that pebbles on the ground would also be great for composing the scenery and making the world more alive. They could be gravel, sandstone, and pebbles. When collected, they could be stacked in the same block. By collecting 9 pebbles, they could craft the complete block of sandstone, cobblestone, and gravel. The pebbles could also be thrown at mobs to cause damage. This would make the world more beautiful and also add better decoration.
