In early versions of Minecraft, there was an obvious retro-computer aesthetic, from the blocky 16x16 textures and limited stack sizes (16, 64) to the general aesthetic that made the game crunchy looking. In time, with updates to the game, this aesthetic has changed towards softer textures and wider use of colors that move the game further from its original retro aesthetic.Rather than simply falling back to Programmer Art or forcing changes upon everybody, Mojang should consider a more official sharp retro aesthetic—similar to what has been accomplished by community packs such as "Vintage - Programmer Art Remade".Sharper Visual Style: Create high-contrast, sharp pixel art that improves upon the weaknesses of Programmer Art without being too soft/shaded.Acknowledge the Retro Roots: Provide an optional preset/resource pack for those wanting the "computery" look of early Minecraft without modding.
