This update is meant to give new life to the oceans of the overworld, we have the underwater update yes, but the deep sea is pretty bare. So why not bring in new ocean biomes? I present “Abyssal Mysteries!”
Explore Fool’s Barents’ underwater peaks and kelp forests, the toxic Vents of Salt and Heat, towering sea stacks in The Fingers, fish-packed Shallow Tide Pools, shipwreck-littered Ship’s Folly, and Wonders of the Abyss — stronghold-rare, home to a 40-block void called the Gullet. At its bottom lurks the Barnacle: the mob that lost Minecraft’s first-ever community vote back in 2017, finally added. Stationary, 500 HP, three distinct combat mechanics, one per world — no respawns. It drops the game’s rarest item, the Wisp’s Heart, craftable into a loyal Shardling companion or brutal Royal Daggers. Gear up with Elytra-fused Scaled Flight Armour, triple-capacity Diving Gear, a Harpoon Gun that doubles as a fishing rod, and the oar-powered War Galley. Not every new mob wants a fight — feed a Nurse Shark and it’ll guide you somewhere worth going; outrun a Cuttlefish jack and you’ve got the fastest ride in the update, if you can survive the aggro. Craft Fish Bowls and Tanks to keep a piece of the reef at home. Six biomes. Fourteen mobs. One ancient thing waiting at the bottom.
