Official Bedrock Port for Linux

Howdy! My suggestion is for y'all to make a bedrock release for Linux users. I understand this is a heavy ask, but it could potentially bring in more users and unite the community more. Bedrock was advertised as being a community game, built for device crossplay, but we don't yet have OS crossplay.

Some unofficial fan creations have been made that used the android release, but that was 1.) Probably not allowed, and 2.) not a good experience.

Especially with the release of the Steam Deck, this suggestion is becoming more relevant. Steam Deck users could want to try minecraft, and be disappointed when they find their preferred release of minecraft is not yet available.

So please Mojang, release a Linux port :<

  I have a laptop where Windows does not work well, but Linux works without a hitch. I would love to use Bedrock to play with my friends on Console, but I cam unable to do so due to lack of OS support.

  We need this. Java already works, but Bedrock support is needed for cross-play with mobile.

  Yeah, if they really want to try and move to Bedrock, they need to port Bedrock to Linux and Mac.  Especially with the introduction of the Steam deck.

   

  Also, isn't Bedrock meant to be the one with more cross-compatibility?

  You can try using Waydroid to run Minecraft BE for Android.
