Absorption Effect from Glow Berries

The Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs Update added the Glow Berries, a new food to the game, however, The Glow Berries basically was "that kind of food that you only would've eat it and use it on early game". 

A good opportunity of Mojang to make the Glow Berries more useful is making them give the Absorption Effect when you eat them.

I would be glad to see this happen in-game.

  Wouldn’t absorption just make them broken?
  I think a short timespan of night vision would be a better effect as it’s not op but still useful, especially when exploring the new caves

  if it gives absorption, it should be half-a-heart per berry. Maybe they should give the glowing effect, along with adding a new effect that illuminates your area as if you hold a lit torch
