This is a natural extension to the block-preserving feature of Honeycomb.
You can put a Honeycomb Block on a Redstone Wire to make it a Packaged Wire, which looks the same as a Honeycomb Block. It is not a redstone conductor itself but has the same transmissibility as a Redstone Wire.
Since being solid, it supports vertical link, but the diagonal link is removed to reduce confusion. The diagonal link of the former Redstone Wire will turn into the vertical link of the Packaged Wire.
Its inner linking direction is fixed until it is broken and drops a Redstone Dust and a Honeycomb Block. It does not need downside support and can be pushed and pulled by Pistons.
