What if we could attach a rope to a minecart?

In Minecraft, we can attach a lead to a boat and connect that boat to another boat. So, what if we could also attach a lead to a minecart and connect it to another minecart? This would give us a way for two people to travel together in separate minecarts on the same rail, similar to a train or a subway. Also, if you decide to add this feature, I would love to see Furnace Minecarts added to Bedrock Edition as well, so we could use them to pull connected minecarts and create working trains.
