Resin used to deter herbivores, spiders, silverfish

Resin is a new block/item, but it currently has little utility per clutter space. A use for resin and its block would be to:

A) attract bees (useful for bee farms)
B) deter spiders, silverfish within a specific radius of a block (useful for warding off specifc mobs)
C) prevent silverfish from spawning by breaking infested blocks if resin is close enough (useful for hollowing out areas with infested blocks)
D) prevent herbivores (e.g. sheep) from eating grass if resin was placed near grass (useful for having sheep with fear of losing all your grass if in an enclosed space)
