Hey Mojang and community,
Many of us recently attended the 2026 Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue event. We loved it and were thrilled to get the promo code for the event cape. However, upon redeeming it, we noticed a major oversight: the cape only shows up in Bedrock Edition, not Java.
This is the exact same cape from the 2025 tour. Back then, the community pushed for Java parity, and Mojang listened! You stated that players who redeemed a Bedrock code would be granted the cape on Java by June 2025.
The issue is that for those of us attending the tour in 2026, redeeming new codes after that initial sync date, the cape is locked to Bedrock again. It seems the Java rollout was just a one-time sync instead of a permanent system for all future attendees.
Why are newer attendees missing out on the Java cape when it's the exact same item and the infrastructure to grant it already exists?
Mojang, please fix this oversight so 2026 codes automatically sync to our Java accounts, just like they did for 2025 attendees!
Here is the original 2025 feedback thread where this was discussed and initially resolved for Java:

Please help raise awareness so we can get this updated!
