Minecraft Experience Cape for Java Edition

In the official announcement, this cape will only be available for Bedrock Edition.

Instead, it should be similar to the MC Championship (MCC) Cape - for both editions of Minecraft.

As a Java only player, I'll be attending this event and would appreciate the support for my version.

In an official response from the Minecraft Experience team via request email, it has been confirmed this morning (9/24/2024) that the Minecraft Experience Cape is coming to Java Edition!!!!

In the Minecraft Experience Terms, it states "By June 5, 2025, players who have redeemed a code for the Minecraft Experience Cape in Bedrock will be granted a cape in their Minecraft Java account."

    No version exclusivity was declared in the official Minecraft Instagram post nor anywhere on the Minecraft Experiences website. Because this is such an exciting event - the first in-person event to feature a cape in many years - many people have already purchased tickets and made travel plans. The cape was used to advertise the event and encourage people to buy tickets, so please consider making it available to Java players as well. It has been confirmed by Minecraft Experience support that the cape is for Bedrock Edition as of now, though this could change if our feedback is heard. Thanks!

    I agree, this is a great idea! Please add the experience cape to java edition too.

    Offering the cape for java edition would encourage more people to buy tickets for the event and make the extra effort and travel plans to come.

    Adding to java would also make people talk about the cape more, therefore generating more promotion for the event.
     
    This event is also particularly special, being the first large-scale Minecraft in-person event since Minecon in 2016. Let's celebrate this new era of Minecraft's history by adding the cape to both versions, so more people can enjoy the fun! It will be a great reward for dedicated community members who love the game and the Minecraft community.
     
    In addition, almost every major cape introduced since the Migrator cape in 2021 has been added to both editions of the game. Adding the cape to both java and bedrock would only continue this trend and not be out of the ordinary. Dare I say, it may even be a bit odd and arbitrary for this cape to only be in one edition.

    I agree. Please add the cape to both java and bedrock, please! Java edition players make up a huge portion of minecraft players overall!

    I would really appreciate it if the cape was confirmed for Java.  I was really looking forward to going with my friends until I realized it wasn't confirmed for java.  Any official comment from Mojang would be appreciated so I at least know whether I am going to get tickets to the event or not.

    I have redeemed the cape and yet its only available to me on my bedrock account and not my java account.

    For those who are still confused, make sure you look at "Update 2" in the post. In the official terms for the event, it confirms that it will come to Java Edition. We have to be patient.

    It says by June 5th, not on June 5th, and I dont think it should take 8 months to add a new cape. Also it did say on the Minecraft Help center that it would be added June 5th 2024. https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/31114589569805
