Suggestion I have an idea to make fishing more immersive and rewarding. Add a new mob: the woodpecker. From time to time, it would peck at trees and pull out grubs or worms, which would drop as collectible items. These could be attached to a fishing hook as bait. Woodpeckers could also be bred using these grubs or worms. When a new world is generated, woodpecker nests could appear on some trees in oak, birch, spruce, dark oak, and autumn forests. Each nest could spawn 2–4 woodpeckers. Every 5 minutes, a woodpecker would search tree logs for grubs or worms and drop them as items. Using bait while fishing could allow players to catch new species of fish. The type of fish and the catch chances would depend on the biome where the player is fishing, making different locations feel more unique and encouraging exploration. In addition, catching fish (including the existing ones) could feature a new, more detailed and visually satisfying animation when the fish is pulled out of the water.
